In the beginning, there were three classifications for living things. The animals, that roamed far and wide, as different and endless as they came. The humans, those of simpler origins and similar features. Then there were the shifters. Said to be the child of both man and animal, these creatures held the ability to chose to be that of beast or human. The humans, jealous of their powers and ability to gain the beauty of the animals they so desperately wanted, the shifters were hunted down. All out war struck, before the remaining shifters fled and were never heard from again...
Centuries have past and that story is long forgotten, replaced instead with the entirely false stories of werewolves and things that go bump in the night.
The shifters, however, still lurk in the corners of your universe - they are everywhere. Your neighbor, your history teacher, even your best friend. Everyone around you could be one, while you remain in the dark about their true lineage.
History, however, is doomed to repeat itself - no matter what we do. Humans and Shifters were meant to collide again, and unfortunately for you, you were born in the generation meant to take a stand.
The Rebellion are a group of radical shifters, one tired of hiding and keeping their gifts a secret. Why should humans have the power, when shifters are so obviously superior in strength?
The Remembrance are shifters on the conservative side, who's mission is plain and simple: stay hidden, stay in the rank you were meant to have. With these two groups, the shifter population has been split into two - it seems you can't go anywhere without finding one belonging to either group.
The shifters, however, aren't the only ones who've assembled. The Hunters have rose, a small group of humans aware of the existence of shifters. They show now mercy, and will kill any shifter they become aware of. This group wants to keep the rest of the humans in the dark, while still keeping the shifters down.
The Rebellion and The Hunters are stirring up an all out war, with The Rebellion striking revenge against their fallen brethren, they are lashing out, killing humans while The Remembrance struggles to keep tranquility between the two species.
